CANSU OLCE – Mathematician (Maths Tutor)
Cansu graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. She was chosen as a maths tutor in the QUT maths access center while she was a student. Cansu soon realised that she really enjoyed teaching maths and helping others. She then started a maths blog and quickly began receiving enquiries from other students who needed help. She has been tutoring for the last 12 years.
Cansu noticed her strong love for maths at the age of seven years old and was exceptionally good at maths since primary school. She developed her own methods to solve the complicated maths questions. It made her an outstanding student who completed mathematical exams in half the allotted time. Now she is teaching her own methods to her students.
There are many maths tutors that can be found online, but they are not all the same. It became clear that there was a big shortage of qualified maths tutors in Australia. Cansu decided that she wanted to provide the best maths tutoring service in Queensland… Then she started A Star Maths and A Star Tutors.
Cansu’s expertise is in IB Maths, General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Statistics, Calculus and also Advanced Calculus. She has tutored a range of mathematics and statistics to university students for the last 12 years. She has also helped hundreds of high school students achieve results well beyond their expectations.

Denait Asfha – English & Science Tutor
Denait Asfha is one of the dedicated tutors at AStarTutors. Recently graduating with an exceptional ATAR of 99.3 (scaled to 99.95), Denait has demonstrated academic excellence and a deep commitment to education. Currently pursuing a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Laws (Honours) at the University of Queensland, Denait brings a unique blend of analytical and critical thinking skills to her tutoring sessions.
Specialising in English, Denait excels in helping students improve their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. With a keen understanding of both literary analysis and creative writing, she tailors each lesson to meet the needs and learning styles of individual students.
In addition to English, Denait offers tutoring in Chemistry, Physics, Biology (to Y10) and Humanities (to Y9) bringing a well-rounded expertise to the table.
